Come Serve With Us!

Hope Church is a member of the New Jersey Presbytery of the PCA. This means that we worship, serve, and plant churches together. One of those church plants, New City Fellowship in Atlantic City, NJ, needs our help. We can serve them in two very tangible ways. One of them is a one DAY project and the other is a one WEEK project.

Children's Worker Respite Team

Pastor Peter Eck has invited us to help them give their children's workers a rest for the first Sunday in the month of March. Other churches are being asked to "adopt" a First Sunday one time a year.  We are certainly welcome to volunteer more often, but we want to assemble a team for March 4th.

Duties include:

· Watching 5-8 little ones in Nursery during the whole service.

· Leading Children's Church for 6-10 bigger kids halfway through the service
during the sermon.

· Get Background Check clearance by Hope Church.

· Joyfully serve these little ones as we would serve Christ.

This could be a fun service project for a whole family, a small group, a group of
college students, or any mixture of God's servants!

This summer missions trip is open to High Schoolers and Adults.
Families can serve after a discussion with Pastor Shawn about feasibility and housing needs.

"What am I committing to?"

· Prayer for yourself to be shaped into a useful and joyful servant, and for the kids and families we serve to hear the
Gospel and know Christ as the great Servant King and Savior
of the nations.

· Reading and discussing Merciful by Randy Nabors at our monthly training sessions

· Fundraising for yourself and the team

· Building bonds of fellowship and teamwork with your team members

· Preparing VBS lessons, songs, skits, and Gospel presentations

· Going and serving with joy and unity in the heat and whatever conditions God brings us for our good and his glory.
