Bergen Street Film Series: Rebecca

hitchcock rebecca film.jpg

The next screening in the Bergen Street Film Series on film noir is Alfred Hitchcock’s Rebecca (1940), on Friday, July 20 at 7:00pm. Starring Laurence Olivier, Joan Fontaine, George Sanders and Judith Anderson, the film is really only part noir, and more mystery or ghost story.  But its themes of obsession and fear-of-man endure. How can someone who isn’t even there control so many people?  We gather at 7:00pm—refreshments are always welcome!

Contact the Church Office for location.

Starring Richard Widmark and Gene Tierney, the film is about a London hoodlum who dreams up a scheme that he thinks will finally be his ticket to financial independence. It is a tale of blind ambition, self-deception, broken dreams, and how a man who always thinks he's ahead of the game ends up only falling behind. Known as the most important noir made in the UK. Let’s watch and find out why.

Robbinsville Church Plant.png

As we enter into 2018, we are excited to begin the initial stages of launching this new church in Robbinsville!  Our efforts in the coming months will be focused on building a launch team that will physically go with us to plant this church, as well as a support team who will offer their time and abilities to help see the church off the ground.

At the upcoming Vision Meeting we will discuss these teams and other details and/or your questions regarding the start of the church plant.  Please prayerfully consider joining us for this night of vision casting and planning!

Where: Hope Presbyterian Church

Who:  All are welcome who want to learn more about the Robbinsville Church Plant.

If you are willing to bring a pot of chili or a side of cornbread please contact Julie Bromhead.
